How to use heat to increase health

It turns out that if you want to help yourself get healthier one of the best things you can do is spend the time in a very very hot sauna several times per week.

I want to stress that I’m talking about a dry sauna more than anything else.

You get into basically an oven at 120, 130, or even 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

And then you sit there naked for 10 minutes or 15 minutes.

That’s what I’m talking about when I say sauna.

So, I’m going to explore why you want to use a sauna and what the health benefit is and the reason for it.

I trained under some of the most famous potato coaches in the world.

And one of the themes that they stressed was that if you want to increase your carbon dioxide levels.

This increases the oxygenation of your tissues — sauna is one of the best things you can do.

And it turns out there is scientific backing for this.

They found that men who are at high risk for heart attack were much less likely to have a heart attack when they spent time every week in the sauna.

They didn’t speculate why — but they did find a striking reduction in risk with the more time spent in the sauna.

The study covered 2300 men over many years.  It observed the men who spent a lot of time in sauna each week versus the men who did not.

And this chart shows us what they found.

Why do men do better if they use sauna frequently?

They found that for men who use the sauna, the plasma volume in their blood shrinks dramatically.

For a given level of dehydration, plasma volume is dramatically decreased during and after heat exposure.

The reason this is good is that when plasma volume decreases this way it is indicating that your blood vessels are tightening up.

Tighter blood vessels are healthier blood vessels!

And tighter blood vessels are also better conditioned to allow good blood flow including blood flow to the male member.

They found similar positive changes in men who are at high altitude for many days at a time.

Men who are at altitude for a long time experienced a tightening of their vascular system and a reduction in plasma volume.

This is a very positive thing.

By the way, it is opposite of what happens when you take L-arginine or Viagra.

L-arginine or Viagra increase the leakiness of the blood vessels.  And in the long run, they contribute to much poorer health.

Sauna is very beneficial because it can reduce the leakiness of your blood vessels.

And this has a very positive effect on heart health and overall health.
