This cheap natural powder stops chronic pain for good

One of the toughest things for the medical community to deal with is pain.

The treatments available don’t always work well and often come with serious side effects and addiction potential.

When you are dealing with chronic pain, it’s important to be VERY careful with the treatments your doc gives you…

And it’s even MORE important to be well informed about potential problems.

That way you can make decisions that make sense for your particular situation.

What is neuropathic pain?

Neuropathic pain is one of the worst types of chronic pain.

It can be severe and constant and if you have it you just want RELIEF.

Neuropathic pain is often described as a shooting or burning pain. It can go away on its own but is often chronic. Sometimes it is unrelenting and severe, and sometimes it comes and goes. It often is the result of nerve damage or a malfunctioning nervous system. The impact of nerve damage is a change in nerve function both at the site of the injury and areas around it.

What is Gabapentin?

One of the treatments that often is given for neuropathic pain is called gabapentin, but it has some of its own issues.

You should know what they are BEFORE you start taking it.

Gabapentin and pregabalin are FDA-approved for a variety of conditions, including seizures, nerve pain, and restless legs syndrome.

How is Gabapentin used?

If you have severe neuropathic pain your doctor might order gabapentin.

It’s often used for people who have diabetic neuropathy.

Gabapentin at doses of 1800 mg to 3600 mg daily (1200 mg to 3600 mg gabapentin encarbil) can provide good levels of pain relief to some people with postherpetic neuralgia and peripheral diabetic neuropathy.

Gabapentin Doesn’t Always Work for Neuropathic Pain.

The problem is that gabapentin only works marginally better than a placebo.

In pain after shingles, 3 in 10 people had pain reduced by half or more with gabapentin and 2 in 10 with placebo. Pain was reduced by a third or more for 5 in 10 with gabapentin and 3 in 10 with placebo. In pain caused by diabetes, 4 in 10 people had pain reduced by half or more with gabapentin and 2 in 10 with placebo. Pain was reduced by a third or more for 5 in 10 with gabapentin and 4 in 10 with placebo. There was no reliable evidence for any other type of neuropathic pain.

I personally think it’s important to know when a treatment doesn’t work all that well for over half the people taking it.

That’s the case with gabapentin.

Gabapentin can suppress respiratory function.

Beyond not always working well, gabapentin also has an EXTREMELY concerning side effect.

It can suppress respiratory function.

FDA is warning that serious breathing difficulties may occur in patients using gabapentin (Neurontin, Gralise, Horizant) or pregabalin (Lyrica, Lyrica CR) who have respiratory risk factors. These include the use of opioid pain medicines and other ‘treatments’ that depress the central nervous system, and conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease that reduce lung function. The elderly are also at higher risk.

If you already take opioids for your pain, you are at even higher risk of respiratory problems.

Gabapentin has other risks as well.

The other risks of gabapentin are also serious. Here is what is on their packaging.

  • Confusion or disorientation

  • Unusual dizziness or lightheadedness

  • Extreme sleepiness or lethargy

  • Slowed, shallow, or difficult breathing

  • Unresponsiveness, which means a person doesn’t answer or react normally or you can’t wake them up

  • Bluish-colored or tinted skin, especially on the lips, fingers, and toes

I personally am very wary of treatments that have risks like this…

And I find that doctors are so pressed for time, that even when they know about the risks, they don’t always TELL you what they are.

It’s really up to you to know the risks and side effects of any treatments you take.

It’s your health. It’s your life.

Make sure YOU are the one who is in control.
