This Doctor-Approved Substance Is Killing Men’s Sexual Performance

28% of Americans over the age of 40 take statins.

That’s A LOT of people.

And most of those people don’t know all of the side effects of statins.

Statins are cholesterol-lowering supplements sold under a bunch of different name brands.

And they can have serious side effects.

Before I get into the side effects of statins, I want you to know that I am not in any way, shape, or form giving you medical advice.

I’m not a doctor. I’m just a guy who does research and brings it to you.

Don’t go off statins without talking to your doctor first.

Today, I’m going to talk about two main side effects of statins.

The first one is the effect of statins on sexual performance.

And the second one is the effect of statins on your testosterone levels.

Both can be significant for men who want to live long and healthy lives – and have great sex…

(And honestly, what guy doesn’t want to have great sex?!)

It turns out that statins can double your risk of ED…

It’s true that statins don’t seem to cause ED at the same rate that blood pressure medications do – and that makes sense.

Blood pressure medication affects the way your body handles blood flow…

And good blood flow is essential to having good erections.

Statins work differently, but they cause erection problems too.

[cmamad id=”19653″ align=”center” tabid=”display-desktop” mobid=”display-desktop” stg=””]

“Among the total of spontaneous reports selected (110,685), exposure to statins was identified in 4,471 cases (4%), of which 51 reports (1.1%) concerned ED…whereas 431 (0.4%) cases of ED were found in the 106,214 reports without exposure to statins…”

And to make matters worse, the onset of ED related to statins doesn’t show up right away.

So it may be hard to pinpoint what the cause of ED is – as it’s not an immediate result, but something that happens later.

“The mean delay of onset of ED after starting statins, known for 19 cases, was 62 days (median 29 days).”

That means that if you’re on statins and start having trouble getting it up – even a couple of months down the line – statins may be to blame.

And not everyone who finally went off the statins got their erectile function back!

Yes, about half the guys with ED induced by statins experienced recovery after going off the statins.

“In 56.9% of cases, recovery occurred after withdrawal of statin, and re-challenge was positive in five cases.”

But that means a little less than half the guys didn’t get their sexual function back after going off the Big Pharma chemicals!

That’s completely and utterly crazy. Don’t you think?

But statins don’t JUST cause ED…

They can also make your testosterone wonky and change your testicles (not in a good way).

Statins also affect testosterone production negatively.

In another study, statins were shown to dramatically lower testosterone levels in men.

“…both total and calculated free testosterone levels were significantly lower in subjects taking statins – when compared to the rest of the sample.”

Testosterone is responsible for sex drive and general feelings of well-being in guys…

So it’s VERY important that your body produces it correctly.

And check this out!

Statins also reduced testis volume, meaning this Big Pharma product can SHRINK your testicles.

Which is completely bonkers!

The use of statins was also associated with a reduced testis volume and a higher prevalence of hypogonadism‐related symptoms and signs…”

I personally would avoid statins if at all possible.

There is no way I would let a doctor put me on these drugs.

I’m not telling you to go off statins – they may be right for you.

That is for you and your doctor to determine.

But personally, I don’t want a higher chance of ED and shrunken testicles. YUCK.

Consider working with your doctor to reduce your cholesterol naturally – without Big Pharma chemicals.

Lifestyle changes – including exercise and eating lots of fruit – can have an overall protective effect on your health and can help you to live longer as well.

Always do your research before taking a new supplement. Then decide whether or not it’s right for YOU.
