The masks we were forced to wear

Did they make us sicker?

Story-At-a-Glance

Hey, Matt Cook here, and I think the masks we were forced to wear were terrible for a lot of reasons…

I call them “face diapers” because of all the germs and bacteria that get caught in them…

They actually make you MORE likely to get sick!

And now it turns out that those masks were even more dangerous than I realized…

…and they may have had long-term consequences to our health…

Why I refuse to ever wear a mask

Titanium dioxide is a compound I’ve written about before in the context of its use in food, creams, supplements, and treatments.

It’s mostly used as a whitening agent.

Titanium dioxide causes a lot of problems when it gets into the body.

These problems include gut inflammation, problems with blood sugar and insulin regulation, cancer, and damage to the testicles, which can lead to infertility.

In 2022, the European Union banned the use of titanium dioxide as a food additive.

Unfortunately, over the last few years it seems that a lot of people have been exposed to a lot more titanium dioxide.

Researchers in Belgium discovered that this is one of the many harmful compounds which are embedded in medical face masks.

The human research was carried out at Trace Elements and Nanomaterials, Sciensano, Groeselenbergstraat in Uccle, Belgium. This paper was published in Scientific Reports.

The authors of this study were particularly interested in titanium dioxide because it is known to cause cancer.

“Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a suspected human carcinogen when inhaled.”

For their research, the scientists collected a large selection of different types of facemask used in the recent pandemic.

They analyzed the masks for titanium dioxide particles and fibers.

“STEM-EDX analysis on sections of a variety of single use and reusable face masks visualized agglomerated near-spherical TiO2 particles in non-woven fabrics, polyester, polyamide and bi-component fibers.”

STEM-EDX analysis is a type of analysis using an electron microscope.

The researchers found that many of these masks did contain titanium dioxide.

More worryingly, many of the masks contained titanium dioxide nanoparticles.

These are particles that are so small that they pass very easily through the body, and it can be very difficult to “detoxify” them.

Animal experiments have shown that titanium dioxide nanoparticles are even more dangerous than titanium dioxide particles of a larger size.

“Median sizes of constituent particles ranged from 89 to 184 nm, implying an important fraction of nano-sized particles (< 100 nm).”

There is a wide variance in the amount of titanium dioxide contained in these masks…

Some masks contained absolutely enormous levels of this harmful substance.

“The total TiO2 mass ranged from 791 to 152,345 µg per mask.”

The levels of titanium dioxide on the surface of the masks far exceeded stated safe levels for inhalation.

“The estimated TiO2 mass at the fiber surface ranged from 17 to 4394 µg, and systematically exceeded the acceptable exposure level to TiO2 by inhalation (3.6 µg), determined based on a scenario where face masks are worn intensively.”

We simply don’t know how much of these titanium dioxide particles end up being inhaled by the use of these masks – but we can assume it’s not 0%…

“No assumptions were made about the likelihood of the release of TiO2 particles itself, since direct measurement of release and inhalation uptake when face masks are worn could not be assessed.”

This research identifies just one of the many problems associated with the types of masks that have been commonly used during the recent pandemic.

Unfortunately, these masks are not made out of safe or benign substances.

Most of them are made out of a hodgepodge of harmful synthetic chemicals, and there has been next to no oversight.

“These results urge for in depth research of (nano)technology applications in textiles to avoid possible future consequences caused by a poorly regulated use and to implement regulatory standards phasing out or limiting the amount of TiO2 particles, following the safe-by-design principle.”

You should always consult your healthcare practitioner for guidance on medical diagnosis and treatment.
