Human growth hormone (HGH) is a huge fad right now.

Also many athletes – and regular people who like to exercise – believe that any workout that increases natural HGH is a good thing.

So let’s start out with an important study about mice and growth hormone (mouse growth hormone?).

These mice were bred to have low levels of growth hormone.

Though many of them got fat and developed other signs of aging, they lived about 40% longer than normal mice.

The big difference was low growth hormone.

Growth hormone causes cells to multiply rapidly.

In this sense, it is inflammatory. Much like estrogen.

Estrogen’s role is to help cells multiply rapidly during stress.

Think about it this way:

If you are highly stressed and losing cells due to injury, things like estrogen and growth hormone quickly get those cells to divide and multiply.

But under normal circumstances, you don’t want high levels of growth hormone, just as you don’t want high levels of estrogen.

In this experiment, they gave growth hormone injections to adults with major illness or injury.

The outcomes from that group were compared to similar groups of adults who did not receive the injections.

The researchers were shocked to find that growth hormone significantly impaired the health of these already critically-ill patients.

 

The people who had the growth hormone were dying left and right compared to the ones who were not treated with growth hormone.

This is yet another nail in the coffin of the growth hormone fad.

Yet, many stars and athletes keep on using HGH in complete ignorance of the harm to their health.

Under no circumstances do you want higher levels of inflammatory hormones such as estrogen or human growth hormone.

So ignore that fad and let the rich people have at it. They’ll catch on eventually.
