This delicious concoction contains limonene, which prevents your T levels from falling as you age…
Story-At-a-Glance
Matt Cook here, and I’m a big fan of getting important nutrients and minerals naturally through food whenever possible.
It’s the healthiest way to supplement and it’s usually cheaper too.
And now I’ve stumbled onto this important compound called limonene which naturally protects high T levels in men.
It helps keep all the important male androgens high while estrogen stays low — and you can get limonene through 1 deliciously simple food…

Spread this on your toast if you want high T until 100 and beyond
I’m a big fan of citrus fruits for many reasons — particularly for the benefits of the compounds which are concentrated in the peel of these fruits.
I have written about how some of these compounds, like hesperidin and naringenin, are antibacterial, antiviral, anti-aging, and anti-cancer.
But citrus fruits also contain potent androgenic substances — substances which can increase masculinity and fertility.
Researchers discovered that another compound from citrus peel called limonene had near miraculous effects on old animals.
Supplemental limonene improved sperm parameters, testosterone levels and even increased androgen receptors!
By the end of the study, the old rats given limonene had similar test results to young male rats.
The research was carried out at the The Department of Medical Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt.
The findings were published in The Medical Journal of Cairo University.
Things tend to deteriorate as we get older — this is partly due to something called oxidative stress.
Oxidative stress: When compounds in the body, particularly unstable flats, breakdown — and their byproducts harm tissues and organs, including the testicles.
This leads to unhealthy sperm, decreased fertility, and lower testosterone.
“Ageing has deteriorating effects on physiological functions of many organs including the sex organs – which is suggested to be due to oxidative stress.”
Because of this, researchers were interested in the effects of limonene — an antioxidant substance contained in the peels of citrus fruits like oranges.
“D-limonene, which is an extract from the peel of citrus plants, has multiple therapeutic properties, mainly due to its antioxidant capacity.”
The researchers were curious as to whether d-limonene could reverse the anti-androgenic effects of aging.
Could it mitigate decreases in fertility and testosterone found in other animals?
“We wanted to learn more about possible beneficial effects of d-limonene on age related androgenic changes.”
The researchers started out with 2 groups of 16 rats.
One group were young adult rats. The second group were old, aged rats.
Both of these groups were then split in half — and half of the rats were given a supplement of d-limonene. The experiment ran for four weeks.
Then the animals were sacrificed and dissected after having blood tests performed.
The aged rats showed significantly decreased testosterone levels and sperm parameters.
“The old aged rats showed significant decrease in all sperm parameters, androgen receptors, antioxidants and testosterone levels as compared with the adult ones.”
When the researchers looked at those characteristics in the old rats which were given d-limonene they found a remarkable improvement.
D-limonene altered androgenic markers in old rats so that they were equivalent to young adult males.
D-limonene reversed the age-related decline in testosterone and fertility.
“Amazingly, supplementation of D-limonene corrected all these aging inducing effects on androgenic capacity which may be attributed to its antioxidant ability.”
The researchers believe the effects are due to the antioxidant capacity of d-limonene.
And they may be correct — older research using another antioxidant (vitamin E) showed the same effects.
But there is perhaps an even more exciting finding from this study — in regard to androgen receptors.
The androgen receptors are the parts of the cell which receive male hormones testosterone and DHT.
The male hormones activate these receptors causing the masculinising effects.
The beneficial effects of male hormones don’t just depend on the levels of those hormones — they are also dependent on the density of androgen receptors.
Increasing the density of androgen receptors is the holy grail of masculinity research — and that’s just what d-limonene did.
It means you get more effect from the same level of testosterone and DHT.
“The effect was proved by a greater spread of androgen receptors in rats with improving count and morphology of sperm.”
This is another quite remarkable study showing the benefits of compounds found in the peel of citrus fruits.
The simplest way to get a lot of these compounds is to eat a high quality, basic marmalade (with no dodgy additives).
“Daily supplemental d-limonene protects the sexual organs from staging oxidative stress. We recommend adding limonene to the diet of older men in those exposed to chronic stress to save their androgenic capacity.”
Orange juice will provide you with some limonene — but high quality marmalade is a far better source.

1 sip of this broth every morning lowers estrogen in men
Many men don’t have a problem producing testosterone.
Not even in men in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond.
The real problem is a process called aromatization that speeds up as a man ages…
With aromatization, testosterone is being created but getting turned into estrogen.
And that’s the problem — too much testosterone is getting turned into estrogen.
So T levels go down and estrogen levels go up!
However, when you sip this natural broth once per day, you are slowing down aromatase…
And testosterone starts staying testosterone — and your T levels shoot upwards while estrogen falls.
Here’s how to make this simple broth at home in just 2 minutes — free recipe
Effect of D-Limonene on the Age-Related Androgenic Changes in Male Rats
