These animal experiments were carried out at the State University of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. The findings were published in Acta Cirúrgica Brasileira.
The relationship between obesity, erections problems, and cardiovascular disease has been known for a long time.
But only recently have mainline researchers begun to investigate the causal relationship between these three things.
One of the main problems we see in cardiovascular diseases is alterations to the structure of the cardiovascular system itself.
The blood vessels and the heart structure become altered – causing atherosclerosis of the blood vessels and cardiomyopathy in the heart.
Very similar things happen in the penis – and these structural changes lead to poor rockiness.
“Large studies indicate that overweight and obesity are strongly associated with an increased incidence of death from cardiovascular disease, ‘penile’ dysfunction has recently been proposed as a good marker for the risk of cardiovascular events.”
Although high-fat diets are widely promoted to people these days, animal researchers know very well the dangers of this way of eating.
High-fat diets reliably cause obesity, type II diabetes, and cardiovascular disease in lab animals.
And so, these Brazilian researchers wondered whether the high-fat diet could also cause changes to the structure of the penis…
Leading to poor rockness.
To find out more, the researchers created 4 different groups of lab rats.
The different groups of lab rats were fed different diets.
One group was fed a normal (lower fat) rat diet.
The other three groups were fed and high-fat diets – the only difference in these diets was the type of fats contained therein.
All of the high-fat diets caused all of the metabolic problems seen in these types of high-fat-diet experiments.
“All high-fat diets promoted an increase in body mass, hypoglycemia, hyperinsulinemia, and hypercholesterolemia.”
The high-fat diets also caused structural changes deep within the penis.
“In the penis, the high-fat diets led to an increase in the collagen fibers and smooth muscle cell density area, a decline in the sinusoidal space density area and corpus cavernosum cell proliferation.”
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body – it is no problem on its own.
But the overgrowth of collagen suffocates organs.
It’s a major factor in liver and heart disease.
In the case of the penis, excess collagen restricts its ability to become rocky.
Those other structural changes also inhibit the ability of the organ to alter its size and shape in the proper way.
The study shows quite clearly that the structural changes caused by a high-fat diet don’t just affect the cardiovascular system…
But also cause degenerative changes to the penis.
