Shampoo causes baldness in men

There you are, washing your hair, and speeding up your baldness.

“How,” you ask?

It is entirely possible that shampoos cause men to go bald.

In this newsletter, I’m going to show you what’s in a lot of shampoos.

And I’ll show you what’s really bad about it and how to prevent hair thinning in males.

Shampoo causes baldness in men.

We look for reasons for baldness all over the place, but a big on is hiding right there in your shower.

Let’s look at typical ingredients found in shampoos.

Here is a random label:

The second ingredient is sodium laureth sulfate, which is a detergent.

There is the polyquaternium-10, then myristyl glycol, etc.

Nearly all of these are endocrine disruptors.

An endocrine disruptor is any chemical that interferes with the normal hormone activity in the body.

And they especially affect the sex organs.

Most of these chemicals are also estrogenic.

If you’ve been reading this newsletter, you know how bad too much estrogen is for everyone.

Estrogen is the real problem with men as they get older.

People think the problem is low testosterone, but really, the issue is high estrogen.

And some of these compounds found in shampoos are dangerously estrogenic.

Some are hundreds or even thousands of times more potent than human estrogen.

Let’s see what shampoo does to rats.

In this rat experiment in India, they exposed male rats to water similar to the water that’s in your drain.

The difference is that when you shampoo your hair, you’re rubbing the fully concentrated shampoo directly onto your scalp.

You’re getting very concentrated amounts of many of these endocrine disruptors.

The rats were exposed to just the diluted wastewater.

The first thing we see is that there was extensive liver and kidney damage.

There was a decrease in the weight of liver and kidney, which was further assessed by histopathological studies. This could be attributed to the degeneration of cells in these organs.

The prostate was also significantly inflamed.

So right there, we realize it’s possible that today’s shampoos and soaps are causing prostate inflammation.

They enter the body through the skin and resemble various sex hormones — especially estrogen.

But what about baldness?

It turns out that hair growth is protected by having just enough sebum on the scalp.

But you don’t want too much sebum.

Sebum is basically grease in your hair.

Shampoos remove all grease, including sebum.

Your body responds by doubling, tripling or quadrupling its production of sebum.

And the sebum builds up between washings.

Eventually, all the sebum buildup contributes to baldness.

In the study, researchers tested natural scalp massage on men who had a bald spot on top.

Out of 100 men, almost all of them regrew some or all of their hair.

The form of massage used in the study is called detumescence therapy.

Detumescence is a process of reducing inflammation.

The researchers believe that the massage helps move the glands around that are producing the sebum.

They believe it restores the glands’ ability to generate the proper amount of sebum… enough but not too much.

I believe that there is a lot more to baldness than this.

But this is a good start.

Knowing how things you put on your body affect you as much as things you eat or drink is important.

Showing you how your choice in shampoo could be causing your baldness may help you reverse your thinning hair.

The chemicals in your shampoo disrupt your endocrine glands.

This overburdens your body with estrogen and estrogen look-alikes.

And it triggers a chain reaction where your body increases the amount of grease in your hair to protect itself

And  it all leads to eventual baldness.

Here’s what I suggest you do next.

I personally do not use any shampoo anymore, and I suggest you don’t either.

It can take a few months for your hair to adapt.

But as your hair adapts, your body will relearn how to properly regulate your sebum production.

You will be healthier, and will find that you do not have to wash your hair much.

Who knew that simple scalp massage and skipping the shampoo were male hair loss solutions?
