Prostate cancer is so common as to be maybe even normal when men get above a certain age. It’s normally very slow-growing, and as I’ve said before many times, the evidence shows that may best be left untreated.
So many men so many men get horrible prostate cancer treatments that leave them impotent, or with no feeling, or spending months in a kind of limbo wondering if their sexual function will come back.
If you do need to get cancer treated, you might want to know about Artemisinin.
Artemisinin is not the new kid on the block.
It comes from wormwood, and if you recall from the 19th-century famous literary figures used to drink a liquor made with wormwood called absinthe. Absinthe can have a high amount of a poisonous compound called thujone, and you can’t get in the US (although they remove the thujone, and you can get it in Europe.)
But wormwood itself has some amazing medicinal qualities.
Found in wormwood is Artemisinin.
Artemisinin is used to protect the body against cancer.
There have been many studies like this one, where they give rats or mice cancerous tumors, (which isn’t necessarily easy) and then the injected tumors with Artemisinin.
And the tumors slowed down in growing, and many of them disappeared while the normal cells were unaffected.
This study specifically focused on prostate cancer. The researchers concluded:
our results suggest that artemisinin is a very
potent anti-cancer compound that exhibits unique effects on
the cell cycle regulation of human prostate cancer cells

You do want to be careful about taking it, as it is quite powerful.
Make sure you talk to your doctor about it first.
It is known to interact with iron. I don’t suggest supplemental iron and almost any case, and it should work perfectly well with your iron levels as they are.
And they say you don’t want to have radiation treatments while you are taking Artemisinin.
Artemisinin causes a very powerful free radical reaction, and those free radicals are needed to destroy the cancer cells.
And for that reason, radiation or antioxidant therapy may create too many or not enough free radicals, and either make it, so the Artemisinin doesn’t work, or make it so that it creates problems due to too many free radicals.
So don’t mix Artemisinin and radiation therapy.

And also, remember, that Artemisinin has been shown to work in many kinds of cancers including breast cancer, all types of skin cancers and any cancer, not just prostate cancer.
