This is crazy but true…

FDA warns of serious genital infection with diabetes meds
Do you take any of these?
- Canagliflozin (Invokana, Invokamet, Invokamet XR)
- Dapagliflozin (Farxiga, Xigduo XR, Qtern)
- Empagliflozin (Jardiance, Glyxambi, Synjardy, Synjardy XR)
- Ertugliflozin (Steglatro, Segluromet, Steglujan)
Men who are taking these diabetes chemicals are reporting a life-threatening bacterial infection of the tissues under the skin in the genital area.
And this happens most often among those aged 50 to 79.
But you don’t have to use Big Pharma’s dangerous chemicals… You can reverse diabetes yourself, following this simple system.

Disinfectants – they’re making you fat
You may have seen these commercials on TV where a mom is spraying a disinfectant onto the counter…
And you can “see” the gooey bacteria in an overlay being wiped up by the paper towel.
Usually, these ads are for products such as Lysol or Mr. Clean…
And they want to convince us that the only way we can have a healthy house is to cover it in germicide.
Commercial spots like this usually end with the mom having a satisfied look on her face, knowing she’s protected her children from germs.
Now, there are a whole bunch of studies on why kids need to play in the dirt, but that’s an article for another day.
But… Even with big “germ-free” promises, what if there was a big, cruddy side effect to using these germ-annihilating cleaning products?
[cmamad id=”19339″ align=”center” tabid=”display-desktop” mobid=”display-desktop” stg=””]
And what if that side effect of this stuff that is supposed to protect us and our kids is that it makes us FAT?
Is it worth the tradeoff?
Disinfectants and multipurpose chemical cleaners screw up your gut bacteria.
If you think about it, this isn’t super surprising.
When you use a powerful germicide to kill 99.9% of the bacteria on the surfaces your hands and food come into contact…
You are likely to have side effects that you aren’t aware of or don’t know about.
In this case, at least one of the side effects is a re-ordering of the bacteria in your gut.
This study was done on babies, but there is no reason to think that adults don’t have a similar response.
“Associations with altered gut flora in babies 3–4 months old were strongest for frequent use of household disinfectants such as multi-surface cleaners, which showed lower levels of Haemophilus and Clostridium bacteria but higher levels of Lachnospiraceae.”
The problem is that this alteration in the makeup of the gut isn’t benign and it can have serious and long-term health consequences.
That’s because your gut microbiome controls your immune system and can even influence your emotions.
Ditch the disinfectants – they’re making you fat.
When the bacteria in your gut gets messed up by using disinfectants all over your house (and I DO NOT recommend using probiotic supplements to fix it)…
Then you end up with a cascade of health problems.
And that includes an increased likelihood of becoming overweight.
“We found that infants living in households with disinfectants being used at least weekly were twice as likely to have higher levels of the gut microbes Lachnospiraceae at age 3–4 months… When they were 3 years old, their body mass index was higher than that of children not exposed to heavy home use of disinfectants…”
This means if you follow the advice of all those germaphobe advertisements, you might very well be making yourself and your kids fat without even knowing how.
And it’s all because these products mess up your gut bacteria.
I always find it crazy when products that are SUPPOSED to help you actually end up causing a great deal of harm.
But… You CAN still clean your house and not have this obesity risk from your cleaning products.
Here’s how.
What to clean your house with…
In this study, they also looked at families who used eco-friendly cleaners.
Sure, those products don’t usually destroy 99.9% of germs, but they do clean well.
And these milder cleaners didn’t cause babies to be overweight.
“Babies living in households that used eco-friendly cleaners had different microbiota and were less likely to be overweight as toddlers.”
If you’re struggling with weight loss or have family members who are, you may want to ditch the heavy-duty disinfectants and go for eco-friendly cleaners…
Or even cleaners that you make yourself (you can find great vinegar-based cleaner recipes online).
You don’t have to get rid of every germ to have a healthy and clean house.
In fact, it may be a good idea NOT to do that.
While it’s not good to live in filth, annihilating every single germ in your house probably has effects that you weren’t anticipating…
And those can have bad, long-term health consequences – besides weight gain.
