What John McCain, preventing blood clots, and fixing cancer all have in common…

—-Important Message—-

Has your doctor told you how to keep dangerous blood fat out of your bloodstream?

Probably not.

But blood fat is the most toxic and dangerous threat to our health today, according to over 3,000 studies that Big Pharma corporations pray you will never see.

Take diabetes or prediabetes, for instance.

Even if you’re not diabetic at this very moment, blood fat may be causing your cells to become resistant to insulin…

And eventually, you will become diabetic – because blood fat destroys the beta cells in the pancreas that you need in order to avoid diabetes.

The causes of blood fat have been known for decades: sleeping poorly, missing meals, counting calories, cutting carbs.

Most of today’s fad diets increase dangerous blood fat.

But you’ll see in a moment how this simple 45-second activity removes that dangerous blood fat safely.

Could this save McCain?

As I write this, Senator John McCain is suffering from a terminal disease. And, surprisingly, I think he could be saved with what I am writing about today.

Okay so let’s get into it…

A new study shows that aspirin can prevent postoperative venous thromboembolism (a blood clot).

After hip or knee replacement surgery there is always a risk of a serious blood clot.

[cmamad id=”16541″ align=”center” tabid=”display-desktop” mobid=”display-desktop” stg=””]

Such a blood clot can morph into a pulmonary embolism.

This blockage in an artery or the lungs kills up to 200,000 people in the United States every year.

In this study, the researchers combined data taken from multiple hospitals.

The research was coordinated at Montreal’s Jewish General Hospital and the results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

After hip or knee surgery, there is an increased risk of a dangerous blood clot.

The medication that is effective against this has many ugly side effects.

So this study was designed to test the effect of aspirin in preventing these dangerous blood clots.

“Trials have suggested that aspirin may be effective for the prevention of these blood clots – but comparisons with other medications are lacking.”

The study enrolled over 3,000 patients who were undergoing hip or knee replacement.

Initially, all of the patients were given Rivaroxaban, the standard treatment for preventing clotting.

Five days after the surgery, some people were switched over to low-dose aspirin. They continued with that for up to 30 days.

“All the patients received Rivaroxaban until day 5 and then were randomly assigned to continue Rivaroxaban or switch to aspirin.”

The researchers monitored the participants for three months. The medical team watched for signs of a problematic blood clot.

“Patients were followed for 90 days for blood clot and bleeding complications, including major or clinically relevant minor bleeding.”

Aspirin performed as well as the standard treatment in preventing dangerous blood clots after surgery.

“Venous thromboembolism occurred in 0.64% of the aspirin group and 0.70% of the Rivaroxaban group.”

There were a small number of bleeding complications in both groups.

“Bleeding complications occurred in 0.47% in the aspirin group and 0.29% in the Rivaroxaban group.”

The authors concluded that aspirin was as effective as the standard treatment for prevention of postsurgical blood clot.

“Aspirin was not significantly different from Rivaroxaban in the prevention of symptomatic venous thromboembolism.”

So why would someone need aspirin if there is an effective treatment already?

Some people experience bad side effects from the standard treatment, Rivaroxaban.

Here are the “more common” side effects of Rivaroxaban:

  • Back pain
  • Bleeding gums
  • Bloody stools
  • Bowel or bladder dysfunction
  • Burning
  • Crawling
  • Itching
  • Numbness
  • Prickling
  • Pins and needles
  • Tingling feelings
  • Coughing up blood
  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Dizziness
  • Headaches
  • Increased menstrual flow or vaginal bleeding
  • Leg weakness
  • Nosebleeds
  • Numbness
  • Paralysis
  • Prolonged bleeding from cuts
  • Red or black, tarry stools
  • Red or dark brown urine
  • Vomiting of blood or material that looks like coffee grounds

Yikes! That’s quite a list of “more common” side effects. You can see why having another effective treatment option is a good idea.

Postsurgical blood clots are the leading cause of preventable death in hospitals.

Many of the side effects listed above could cause a patient to stop taking their medication – putting them at risk of death.

Once again, aspirin proves to be a very versatile medicine.

Aspirin is also no longer under patent and is, therefore, less expensive than other medicines.

In this study, the researchers treated all of the patients with Rivaroxaban for the first five days.

This was in order to make this initial trial less risky.

In future, the authors want to test aspirin alone against Rivaroxaban.

One of the study’s authors cited aspirin’s good safety profile as a major reason for this trial.

“Rivaroxaban is effective, but the great advantage of aspirin is that it is far less expensive, easily available, and has an excellent safety profile.”

Both of these medicines can be risky in high doses – and taking both together will increase the risks.

You should only take these medications under a doctor’s supervision, and you should see a healthcare professional if you have concerns about blood clots.

And maybe John McCain’s terminal illness could easily have been stopped by something as cheap and easy as aspirin…
