These Northwest Atlantic fish may contain this ingredient that could be lowering your testosterone and ruining your erections…
———-
Are you eating this tuna? Caution…
Ain’t modern life GRAND?
There’s a hidden danger lurking in our homes and our food – thanks to modern life.
Your doctor isn’t going to tell you about this hidden danger…
Because most of them simply don’t know about it.
But this can lower your testosterone levels, making you feel less vigorous and less manly.
And men’s testosterone has already been steadily dropping for about three decades…
And this particular insidious threat can also cause you massive problems with erections and all things sexual.
That threat?
The plastics that are EVERYWHERE in our daily lives…
Now, don’t worry. I’m not going to tell you to go full-on hippy and live with all glass and no plastic at all.
That’s a difficult task no matter how hard you try.
But I do want to show you exactly HOW plastics might be influencing your sexual function and your feeling of manliness.
And how hidden that influence can be.
What do fish have to do with plastics in our environment?
I’ll go into why plastics are such a threat in a bit.
But first, it’s important to realize how pervasive they are in nearly all parts of our environment.
[cmamad id=”16001″ align=”center” tabid=”display-desktop” mobid=”display-desktop” stg=””]
In this study, scientists harvested fish that they didn’t think were exposed to much human activity.
And still, almost 3/4 of those fish had high levels of microplastics in their bodies.
“A new study finds 73% of mesopelagic fish caught in the Northwest Atlantic had microplastics in their stomachs – one of the highest levels globally.”
And these plastics didn’t come primarily from food containers, plastic wrap, or six-pack rings.
They came mostly from textiles or fabrics!
“In particular, we found high levels of plastic fibers such as those used in textiles.”
How are fibers from clothing getting into the water where fish live?
Doing laundry is one way. Runoff from the production of textiles is another.
This new finding is a pretty big deal. It means we may be eating far more plastics than we thought.
Plastics are highly estrogenic.
The reason that consuming plastics in our food supply is a problem is that plastics have something called estrogenic activity or EA.
EA disrupts your endocrine system, the system in your body that controls your hormone levels.
“Chemicals that mimic or antagonize the actions of naturally occurring estrogens are defined as having estrogenic activity (EA), which is the most common form of endocrine disruptor activity.”
Endocrine disruptors are weird because they don’t “poison” you in the way that something like cyanide will.
They don’t kill you – at least not quickly.
But they can wreak all kinds of health problems in your body.
Almost all plastics leach estrogenic chemicals into the environment.
You’re not just eating these chemicals, they’re also seeping into your skin.
When your body is exposed to too much of what it perceives as estrogen it can throw your entire reproductive system out of whack.
“Almost all commercially available plastic products we sampled – independent of the type of resin, product, or retail source – leached chemicals having reliably detectable estrogenic activity (EA), including those advertised as BPA-free. In some cases, BPA-free products released chemicals having more EA than did BPA-containing products.”
Back to why these fish are so important to your body producing the right amount of testosterone…
The particular group of fish in the study – mesopelagic fish – are food for many of the types of fish that humans eat.
So if those mesopelagic fish have estrogen-like compounds in their bodies…
We’re putting those compounds into our bodies when we eat fish.
“Mesopelagic fish serve as a food source for a large variety of marine animals, including tuna, swordfish, dolphins, seals, and seabirds.”
“The fish are also prey for fish eaten by humans, meaning that microplastics could indirectly contaminate our food supply through the transfer of associated microplastic toxins.”
Because of the sheer amount of plastics that we’re exposed to every day, there’s only so much that we can do to avoid them.
But we can do some things to avoid plastics.
Higher-level predator fish often have high concentrations of plastic toxins in their systems.
These fish include tuna and swordfish as well as some other species.
Generally, I avoid this type of fish…
When it comes to plastic – control what you can control.
Knowing that plastics has so much power to disrupt hormones, I control what I can control.
And I recommend that you do too.
There are some places where we can have a bigger impact on the plastics in our environment than others.
One of those places is the microwave.
Microwaves are super-convenient. But when you microwave your food in plastic containers you leech all kinds of chemicals into your food.
If you avoid microwaving in plastic and use ceramic or glass instead, you can limit your exposure through this avenue.
When we start to find out about this stuff it’s easy to become super-paranoid.
So it’s important to remember to control what you can and try not to worry about the rest.
By managing the amount of estrogen-disrupting plastic in your food supply and in your environment…
…you can help your body produce the right of amount of testosterone and other masculine hormones.
It can make an amazing difference.
—–Curious about reducing estrogen? Important Message—–
Estrogen tends to kill erections.
Men who are experiencing sexual problems often have HIGH estrogen levels – and this is often the reason for their troubles.
Estrogen decreases a man’s libido and can also hurt a man’s feelings of confidence.
And the man’s belly continues being fat and round because belly fat doesn’t fall away when estrogen is high.
The body holds onto belly fat more stubbornly than any other kind, and there is almost nothing a man can do to get rid of it.
Lowering estrogen is the only path to great health for a man.
As our estrogen falls, the testosterone that we produce can take over and perform its rightful function.
(And too much estrogen can actually suppress testosterone production.)
But there’s an easy way to drop estrogen in a few days…
…even if you use plastics that raise estrogen.
