Shockwaves for Erectile Dysfunction – Could This POSSIBLY be a Good Thing?

Shockwaves for Erectile Dysfunction - Could This POSSIBLY be a Good Thing?

One of the most important things in the life of nearly ANY man is his ability to perform in bed.

And Big Pharma KNOWS this.

That’s why there are ALWAYS new treatments coming out for erectile dysfunction. Some are better than others. Some are downright dangerous or leave you (maybe) being able to get it up, but without a whole lot of feeling.

But there’s a new treatment that is undergoing testing that’s quite interesting. I started hearing about this shockwave treatment a while back as an “alternative” treatment. But this is the first controlled study I’ve seen.

It involves sending shockwaves through the penis to increase the building of blood vessels by the body.

Because blood flow is super important in getting erections..

And amazingly enough it seems to be showing some promise.

When looking at this study, It’s important to note that this is a very SMALL trial, with only 46 patients total. Although there is a control group that didn’t get any treatment to compare against. Which is something I really like to see.

One of the things about small trials, is that it’s hard to tell how this treatment will work in a larger setting with a larger group of people – but is still worth taking a look at because this particular treatment is showing a fair amount of promise.

This shockwave technology is one that doctors currently use to treat gallstones, kidney stones and joint inflammation. It’s being used “off-label” for ED.

That means the FDA hasn’t approved it specifically for ED at this point. I think it’s an important thing to note, because it means it could potentially have side effects that aren’t studied.

To get AMAZING sexual performance (even if things are working so well right now – click here).

Shockwave Therapy Seems to Work

Crazily enough, this shockwave therapy seems to have some decent long-term effects for ED. With improvement shown up to a year later, and steady improvement over time.

THAT is remarkable.

Compared to the placebo, low intensity shock wave therapy had a significantly beneficial effect on erectile dysfunction for up to 12 months – offering 56.7% of the men improvement at one month, 63.3% improvement at six months, and 75% at 12 months.

Now with that being said, I’m always always cautious when it comes to doctors putting devices on my penis. Especially when they haven’t been studied over the long haul.

Because it’s really hard to know sometimes what EXACTLY the side effects are going to be long-term.

Remember this application of this technology is pretty new. So even though it looks promising I would be quite cautious.

Now… I can’t complete this article without addressing the elephant in the room.

Guys with ED have a hard time with having sex.

I know that you may be going “No duh, Matt”. But hear me out.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Guys with ED can have a fantastic sex life whether or not they can get erections.

Men with ED Can STILL have great sex.

There are lots of reasons that men can have ED. From prostate surgery to diabetes to what we call the “brain – penis connection”. And while most men can regain function (even with persistent ED) sometimes guys can’t, or sometimes it takes a while.

We’ve helped 1000s of men recover from ED. Click here to find out more.

But there’s this persistent myth out there right now, that says if you can’t “get it up” you can’t have sex.

This is one that makes me crazy!

Because sex (even intercourse) it’s not about erections, it’s about having sex.

Let me say that again, because it’s important.

Sex is NOT about erections. It’s about having sex.

All men can have extraordinarily fulfilling and wonderful sex with or without a hard penis.

And believe it or not… this can be 100% satisfying for their partner as well.

Once guys understand this, it creates a HUGE amount of freedom, a wonderful return to one of life’s greatest pleasures, and sometimes can actually lead to erections.

Strong, hard erections are great. But they don’t define whether or not you can have sex. As for the shock wave therapy. I’d give that a couple more years and a few more studies before it was something that I would ever decide to do on my own.

If you have erection problems – there is a weird correlation with snoring. Click here to read more.
