Sometimes the best studies come out of countries where you would not expect them.
This is an extremely well-done study out of a veterinary school in India.
It demonstrates extreme toxicity of the statin drugs.
They took rats and separated them into groups.
Then they gave them the well-known statin drug Atorvastatin, the generic name for Lipitor.
Some of the rats got no Lipitor and others got varying dosages of Lipitor.
And some of them got Lipitor along with a well-known calcium channel blocker Verapamil.
Doctors often prescribe Verapamil with Lipitor.
So for the first result, HDL cholesterol went up, LDL cholesterol went down.
Supposedly, this is the desired effect and what you want to see.
We all know someone concerned with cholesterol and statins.

For some reason this is the fetish with doctors today, having low LDL and higher HDL and lower overall cholesterol.
The worst part is that there is proof that this is practice is harmful and toxic.
Statin side effects are well-known and proven in more studies than I can count.
Still, they give men these drugs all the time to lower cholesterol.
Technically, this was the “good news, and it’s not all that good.
But the really bad news is that these drugs also created liver toxicity and kidney toxicity.
Researchers knew back in the 1990s that the statin drugs cause liver toxicity.
How do we know?
Because the liver spills out liver enzymes into the blood that indicate liver stress.
And autopsies of people who took these drugs have livers damage.
Liver toxicity is a well recognized adverse effect of treatment with statins.
This study found tremendous liver damage in the rats given Lipitor, especially the rats were also on the calcium blocker.
The calcium blocker made the liver damage even worse.
Muscle problems were also evident with rats given Lipitor.
Skeletal muscles showed tenderness and wasting condition.
Significant hepatic toxicity characterized by hepatocellular cell death and inflammation, hepatocellular degeneration…
There are so many problems with these drugs that I do not even know where to begin.
The whole premise is completely wrong.
Cholesterol is necessary — it’s the mother of all steroid hormones.
Higher cholesterol correlates with a longer and healthier life.
Anybody taking these cholesterol drugs because their doctor tells him it’s a good idea is probably severely misguided.
They’re actually shortening their life and damaging their health.
You should find a doctor who understands this.
You don’t want to just go to doctors who blindly believe what they learn in medical school and literature.
There is so much in the promoted studies that is incorrect and bogus.
These studies get their funding from multi-billion-dollar profits from giant pharmaceutical corporations.
So, should you take cholesterol medication? NO!
It’s urgent to ask your doctor to take you off of the statin drugs right away.
Because they are damaging and harmful.
