I didn’t know this until I found these studies…
Story-At-a-Glance
Hey, Matt Cook here, and we’ve been told for decades that high cholesterol and fatty, greasy foods like burgers will give us heart problems…
But what’s really causing the worst heart problems like heart failure, heart attacks, and cardiovascular disease in men…
…is actually something quite different, that doctors rarely talk about with their patients…
And I truly believe this discovery is going to add decades to my life…
And maybe yours too, if you try it…

I’ve discovered something about Afib that men should share with their doctors…
If you’re a man diagnosed with Afib, you know how awful it is to feel that sudden flutter in your chest…
To feel your hands go clammy, your stomach churn, and your anxiety levels start to rise…
For most men, it means a trip to the hospital.
But I’ve made a discovery that can help men avoid these episodes, that may be helpful to share with your doctor.
And I’m sharing what I’ve found is working for men with Afib in this brand new Transformation…

What’s really causing heart failure in men
Heart failure occurs when the heart muscle cannot pump enough blood around the body.
The failure of the heart as a pump is due to changes in the structure of the heart itself.
These structural changes are caused by inadequate blood flow to the heart muscle.
Studies have shown that people with heart failure are likely to have low levels of thyroid hormones.
And animal studies have shown that lowering thyroid hormones causes structural changes to the heart…
And these structural changes lead to heart failure.
Anyone diagnosed with this disease should have your thyroid function fully investigated.
These animal experiments were carried out at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. The findings were published in the journal Circulation.
Hypothyroidism – low levels of thyroid hormones – is linked to almost every chronic disease.
Heart failure is no exception.
“Thyroid dysfunction has been linked to heart failure but it is not clear whether hypothyroidism alone can cause heart failure.”
Sometimes two diseases can commonly occur together, but they are actually both symptoms of another problem.
This study was carried out to see whether hypothyroidism is a cause of heart failure or simply just a common comorbidity.
To learn more about this, the researchers carried out experiments on a number of different groups of rats
Some of these groups of rats were given treatments which lower thyroid hormone levels.
These treatments are given to people who have clinically high levels of thyroid hormones in order to bring them down.
1 group of rats were given the treatment for 6 weeks.
Another group was given the treatment for a year.
The researchers wanted to see the short-term and long-term effects of low thyroid hormones on the heart.
“Hypothyroidism was medically induced in adult rats for six weeks or one year.”
At the end of the experimental periods, the researchers examined the hearts of the rats.
They looked for any structural changes that might indicate heart failure.
Hypothyroidism caused all of the structural changes that we see in heart failure.
The degree of heart failure increased over time.
The function of the heart changed too.
The hypothyroid hearts received and pumped less blood – the definition of heart failure.
“Resting and maximum myocardial blood flow were reduced in both groups of hypothyroid rats.”
The findings were conclusive – low levels of thyroid hormones cause textbook heart failure signs and symptoms.
“Hypothyroidism led to severe, progressive systolic dysfunction and increased chamber wall thickness ratio despite a reduced heart mass.”
Without enough thyroid hormone, the small blood vessels (arterioles) which feed the heart with the blood that it needs to pump disappeared.
“Hypothyroidism resulted in impaired myocardial blood flow due to a dramatic loss of arterioles.”
The reduction of thyroid hormones into the heart led to it being starved of blood and oxygen.
Without blood, oxygen and other nutrients, the heart cannot pump enough blood to oxygenate the rest of the body.
This is what leads to the systemic heart failure symptoms all throughout the system.
“We have identified two important new mechanisms by which low thyroid function may lead to heart failure.”
This study shows clearly that hypothyroidism can cause heart failure.
It may not be the only cause, but it is certainly one cause.
People diagnosed with heart failure should have their thyroid hormone levels fully investigated.
This includes looking at TSH, T3, T4, and reverse T3.
Many doctors only look at TSH and perhaps T4 – but this superficial investigation may not reveal the full picture of thyroid health.
Because of this, many people with thyroid problems and heart failure may be unaware that their issues are due to hypothyroidism.
Thyroid hormone treatment needs to be well monitored – taking too much thyroid hormone can in itself cause problems.

I truly love helping men transform their health and sex lives.
This is the work I’ve chosen to dedicate my life to — it’s my passion and why I get up in the morning.
I understand what it’s like to feel like you’re slipping away into the “medical rathole”…
And I don’t want that for you, or for any other man.
I’ve found many men have spectacular results in transforming their health and their sex lives by starting with the thyroid…
Because the thyroid is like the gas pedal of the body — once you get it going again, everything else starts improving.
