Did you know men can get fibrosis in the penis?

Fibrosis can happen anywhere in the body — even the penis.

It’s called penile fibrosis, and it’s when fibrotic plaque builds up in the tiny hair-thin arteries down in the penis…

And this fibrosis clogs up blood flow, making erections nearly impossible.

Most men don’t know anything about penile fibrosis or that it can be the reason behind their erections problems.

So I’m spreading the word — along with this super easy fix for penile fibrosis that can bring back erections fast.

This vitamin can help prevent fibrosis all over the body

Matt Cook here, and fibrosis is a common cause of degeneration in aging and disease.

It is the buildup of excessive collagen – a sort of scarring that can happen anywhere there is tissue.

The eyes are one of the parts of the body which can be affected by fibrosis.

The fibrotic eye diseases are usually related to aging or type II diabetes.

It can lead to vision problems, and even retinal detachment and blindness.

Recently, researchers discovered that one of the most protective vitamins could slow or even reverse fibrosis of the eye.

The cell experiments were carried out at the Neural Stem Cell Institute and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, both in New York. The results were published in Stem Cell Reports.

Fibrotic eye disease occurs when barrier cells which make up the outer structure of the eyeball…

…begin to change into cells which make up the inner, jelly-like portion of the eye.

These changes eventually lead to the production of fibers around the retina.

The retina receives light and transmits those messages to the brain.

These new fibers can damage the retina, impairing vision and eventually leading to the retina becoming detached…

Which can lead to blindness.

At the lab in question, researchers were working on the biochemical processes which lead to fibrosis in the eye.

They identified a number of inflammatory proteins which trigger a sequence of events leading to this disease process.

“We found that co-treatment with TGF-β and TNF-α accelerates the process of eye fibrosis in adult human stem cell-derived.”

The researchers then took a very detailed look at the biochemical processes surrounding these proteins and the development of fibrotic eye disease.

Then, they used this data to look for substances which might block this process.

That research turned up a number of potential substances. One of those was nicotinamide – a type of vitamin B3.

They then carried out experiments on cells to see if vitamin B3 could reverse or block out of control fibrosis in eye cells.

Those experiments showed that nicotinamide is effective – it interrupts inflammation and damaging cell changes.

“We found that the vitamin B derivative nicotinamide downregulates these key transcriptional changes.”

Nicotinamide can even partially reverse the conversion of barrier cells to eyeball cells…

Potentially reversing eye fibrosis and fibrotic eye disease.

“Nicotinamide inhibits and partially reverses retinal pigment epithelium to mesenchymal transition.”

Nicotinamide has previously been studied for its ability to promote healthful regeneration of tissues. Meaning less scar tissue (fibrosis).

So it is not a great surprise that nicotinamide could slow the progress of fibrotic eye diseases.

What is more surprising is that this form of vitamin B3 seems to be able to reverse existing scar tissue…

…and also reverse the degenerative conversion of cells in the eye.

Nicotinamide allows for a healthy amount of inflammation needed for healing while blocking excessive inflammation which causes scarring, AKA fibrosis.

“The research reveals potential therapeutic roots to benefit patients with epithelial to mesenchymal transition, macular pucker, and proliferative vitreoretinopathy.”

In other words, it looks like nicotinamide could be very helpful as a treatment for degenerative eye diseases caused by inflammation and fibrosis.

The most common eye diseases, those associated with age and type II diabetes are largely caused by fibrosis.

There are 2 commonly available forms of vitamin B3. They are niacin and nicotinamide. The effects of these vitamins are not the same.

Nicotinamide is far more beneficial than niacin.

Nicotinamide is also a relatively safe vitamin.

Though it can lower blood sugar – and high doses can cause quite significant blood sugar drops in some people.

So be mindful of this and talk to your doctor if you’re on blood sugar treatments or battling diabetes.
