I know that I talk about gut health a lot.

I feel like every third email I write is about gut health in some form or another.

But that’s because gut health is so important!

The composition of your gut (known as your gut microbiome) can affect how well your immune system works.

It can also affect your overall health.

The microbiome is all the bacteria and cells that reside in our gut.

The bacterial cells harbored within the human gastrointestinal tract (GIT) outnumber the host’s cells by a factor of 10 and the genes encoded by the bacteria resident within the GIT outnumber their host’s genes by more than 100 times. These human digestive-tract associated microbes are referred to as the gut microbiome.

One of the diseases that the microbes in our gut can either make worse or protect us from is C. difficile, otherwise known as C. diff.

This is a serious infection that can be life threatening.

These infections are characterized by diarrhea, nausea and fever. C. diff, as it is commonly known, strikes more than 350,000 Americans a year. Once infected, patients are prone to suffer re-infections; among those who survive, one in six will develop another case within eight weeks, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Researchers looked at stool samples from patients with C. diff.

They wanted to better understand how the gut influences the development of this dangerous disease.

What they found was that having too much enterococci in the gut can trigger C. diff to cause MORE disease.

Their work, combined with lab research performed in other labs, showed that enterococci can dramatically reshape the “metabolome” — the collection of metabolites such as amino acids — in the gut. These changes, the researchers report, ultimately reprogram C. difficile and enhance its disease-causing behaviors.

The enterococci are also dangerous in and of themselves, and have roles in meningitis and urinary tract infections.

Enterococci are bacteria that can, on their own, cause dangerous infections that are difficult to treat. For example, they can cause meningitis, urinary tract infections (which can be very serious in the elderly) and the painful gastrointestinal disease diverticulitis, as well as other illnesses.

Of course, there are lots of factors that influence our gut microbiomes.

You can’t control every aspect of how your gut microbiome develops.

Given the abundance of factors that influence the composition of the intestinal microbiota, it is perhaps unexpected that the composition of the microbial community in the human gut is fairly stable at the phylum level.

But there are a lot of things that you CAN control.

And by controlling your gut you can encourage a healthy gut microbiome that will help prevent diseases caused by an unhealthy gut.

The most important thing you can do is to make sure you are eating well.

I go over quality eating regimens in many of my Transformations. It’s probably much easier than you think. You also should pay attention to your bowel movements.

I know it’s a bit of a gross thing to think about…

…but having regular, healthy bowel movements means that you are much more likely to have a healthy gut.

Personally, I’m very careful about my diet.

Eating the right kinds of foods helps me to stay in good health and means that I rarely get sick.

It’s a big part of taking charge of my own health.

Caution: If you’ve been eating fish oil, nuts, peanut butter, fried foods… your gut is carrying all that bad fat…

And when your intestines are covered with this bad fat, the body stops refining and using sugar…

And it starts piling up as glycogen, which can really mess up not just your gut, but your liver and metabolism too.

It can even cause diabetes.

But this one special supplement I found can stop this rapid gut deterioration…

This one special supplement is cheap and easy, and it REVERSES the effects of bad fats on performance in bed and health.

Here’s how to use it to get these bad fats out of your gut for good
