How to use vitamin D to treat plantar warts

Warts are a troublesome condition that can be caused by viruses.

Verruca are viral warts.

Verruca are known as plantar warts and are almost always found on the soles of the feet.

They are easily picked up in swimming pools and other areas where people walk around in their bare feet — spreading the virus.

There are numerous different treatments for these warts – but none of these treatments on their own are 100% effective.

Verrucas are notoriously difficult to treat in some people.

Many verruca treatments act by stimulating the immune system in the affected area.

And researchers have discovered that vitamin D – the immune boosting nutrient – is close to 100% effective at curing verruca warts.

The human research was carried out at the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences in India.

The findings were published in the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery.

Verruca warts, caused by the verruca vulgaris virus, are a particular problem for some people.

Some people seem particularly apt to pick up these viruses from swimming pools and other similar places – while other people seem almost immune.

“Verruca vulgaris is a fairly common condition with a plethora of treatment options having variable success rates.”

And many people who get these warts find them very difficult to get rid of.

“Recalcitrant warts are resistant to treatment with often disappointing responses and high recurrence rates.”

For susceptible people, even when you do get rid of these tricky warts, they tend to reappear later.

Over the years, treatments have become increasingly effective, though still nowhere near 100%.

Some researchers noticed that these more effective treatments all seem to work by stimulating the immune system.

“Lately, treatment with intralesional injections has gained momentum due to its effectiveness in curing warts by stimulating the cell-mediated immunity.”

Some researchers noted that a number of nutrients are very important for this type of immunity – most notably vitamin D3.

“Vitamin D, when applied topically, regulates epidermal cell proliferation and is involved in the formation of antimicrobial peptides.”

And so — these experiments were carried out to look at the effect of vitamin D3 injected into verruca warts.

The researchers carried out their experiments on 64 patients who had recalcitrant warts.

Their warts would not go away or continued to recur no matter what the treatment.

All of the participants received a number of injections of vitamin D into the affected areas.

The researchers followed up with the patient’s six months after the last vitamin D injection.

The results were remarkable.

Verruca warts had completely disappeared and did not recur 90% of the patients.

“Complete response was seen in 90% of the patients.”

This is an incredibly high response especially when you consider that this is a very safe natural substance.

Of the remaining 10%, two thirds of them had a very positive response to the treatment.

Either some of the warts disappeared, all of the words disappeared but some recurred, or their warts had gotten considerably smaller.

Only 2/60 patients saw no benefit from using vitamin D.

“Partial response was seen in four of 60 patients and no response was seen in two patients.”

Traditionally, only warts on the soles of the feet are known as “verruca” warts. Though in truth, the virus can cause warts in other parts of the body.

About one third of the participants of this study had warts on parts of the body other than the foot.

All of these participants experienced complete remission of these warts.

Even though the vitamin D treatment was injected into the warts on the feet, these “distant” warts were not treated directly.

“Complete resolution of distant warts on other parts of the body was noticed in all patients.”

That observation shows that the effect of vitamin D is systemic, rather than limited to the injection site.

So it should be possible to decrease the occurrence of verruca warts by increasing vitamin D levels by means other than injection…

Such as sunlight exposure or vitamin D3 supplementation.

The effect of vitamin D on viral warts may explain why some people seem to be immune while others can never shake the infection.

Have you ever wondered what your wife or girlfriend really thinks about your load size?

Does she think they’re too small, does she think they’re too big?

Do women even really care about these things?

Whenever I ask my wife Jodi, she just gives me a noncommittal answer…

It’s like she isn’t sure what to say because she doesn’t want to hurt my feelings.

And I also think there’s this taboo still lingering around women and their ability to be sexually open about things like this.

So here’s what I decide to do… I look for the truth about what women really think about the size of men’s loads
