They’re becoming increasingly popular — but here’s what I’ve discovered…

Watch: famous doctor’s controversial arousal method
I don’t know about you, but I think sex is 300% better when the girl chases YOU for it.
Don’t get me wrong…sex ANYtime is great.
But it’s always better when she initiates. If it’s my wife, I want her to want me, not just to agree to have sex with me.
I want a girl to CHASE me.
Something about knowing that she’s so turned on, that she NEEDS you and is hungry for you that is an incredible turn on.
That’s why I’m so excited about this TED Talk — I can’t believe a doctor has discovered a trigger that makes women (even your wife or girlfriend) chase you for sex!
Do you think this neuropsychologist is a hero to men….or a menace to women?
Watch this video to see what I’m talking about (warning: it’s VERY nsfw, so make sure no one is around, or that you’re at least wearing headphones)

Here’s my problem with L-carnitine supplements for men
L-carnitine is a normal component of food. It’s abundant in beef, while asparagus has trace amounts.
Consuming L-carnitine from food sources is almost certainly safe.
But in the last 10 years, purified supplemental L-carnitine has become more popular.
High-dose L-carnitine is often used by gym goers. Some research indicates it might increase fat burning.
L-carnitine is also believed to help with recovery from exercise. It can slightly improve blood sugar and insulin sensitivity.
L-carnitine can improve sperm quality — which led to people speculating it may also boost testosterone.
But even if all of these claims were true, there is a major reason to be skeptical of large doses of L-carnitine.
That’s because L-carnitine is an antithyroid.
The review of scientific literature was compiled by researchers at the University of Messina School of Medicine, 98125 Messina, Italy.
The results were published in The Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences.
Way back in the 1950s, some scientists published work showing that L-carnitine could harm thyroid function in animals.
A few years later, other researchers found the same effect in humans.
The research published in this paper examines prior research looking at the effect of L-carnitine on thyroid function.
The thyroid gland sits at the base of the neck. The function of the gland is to grow a protein which contains the thyroid hormones.
These hormones, known as T3 and T4, are released by the thyroid gland and circulate throughout the body.
The main function of thyroid hormones is to help the cell to generate energy.
The ability to generate cellular energy using thyroid dictates the amount of physical energy available.
Energy problems caused by thyroid malfunction can lead to a vast array of health problems.
This is because the body requires a lot of energy to function properly and stay healthy.
And so anything that lowers thyroid function should be avoided.
L-carnitine acts against the thyroid hormones in circulation.
“By experiments on cells that are targets for thyroid hormones and a randomized clinical trial on iatrogenic hyperthyroidism, we validated the concept that l‐carnitine is a peripheral antagonist of thyroid hormone action.”
Well-known thyroid problems like Hashimoto’s disease affect thyroid glands ability to produce and release thyroid hormones.
But once the hormones have been released into circulation there are other potential pitfalls.
In order for the thyroid hormones to be effective they must be able to enter into the cell nuclei.
Here is where the problem lies.
L-carnitine makes it more difficult for thyroid hormones to enter the cell nuclei, where they are needed to produce energy.
“In particular, l‐carnitine inhibits both thyroid hormones entry into the cell nuclei.”
If the hormones cannot enter the nuclei they cannot be activated and used.
It’s common among people who use L-carnitine to take a few grams per day.
One study looked at hyperthyroid patients. These are people who have too much thyroid hormones and circulation.
That study found that a few grams of L-carnitine were enough to help with the symptoms of hyperthyroidism.
This means that many people may be unknowingly supplementing enough L-carnitine to significantly lower the activity of thyroid hormones.
“2 and 4 grams per day of oral l‐carnitine are capable of reversing hyperthyroid symptoms as well as preventingThisthe appearance of hyperthyroid symptoms (or biochemical changes in the hyperthyroid direction).”
L-carnitine could be helpful for people with difficult-to-use hyperthyroidism.
One paper reported that the effect of L-carnitine on thyroid was enough to help with the most extreme form of hyperthyroidism — thyroid storm — which can be fatal.
“A very recent clinical observation proved the usefulness of l‐carnitine in the most serious form of hyperthyroidism: thyroid storm.”
But for people with normal thyroid function or low thyroid function, L-carnitine could cause problems.
A couple of grams of L-carnitine is enough to significantly lower thyroid function.
